How To Get Rid Of A Muffin Top In Three Easy Steps
A muffin top is excess fat that hangs over the top of your pants. It doesn’t matter how cute the phrase sounds this is a problem that can do real damage to a woman’s self-esteem.

Lose the Muffin Top with Dieting
Changing your diet is the first step on the road to losing that muffin top. A lot of people know that they eat unhealthily but can’t seem to get out of that habit. You should try not to consume too much junk food and fast food if any at all in your new diet. It’s not going to help you if you eat anything high in sugar or calories. It’s important to get in the habit of checking the nutrition label on the back of everything you eat to see what’s really in the food you eat (prepare to be surprised...).
On your new diet you need to next make sure that you begin eating the right foods. In way to reduce your calorie intake but also burn fat try to eat foods that are very low in their calorie count but still fill you up. Reach for a healthy snack like fruit instead of chips.
It will still not help if you eat healthy food but in portions that are too large. Consuming too much healthy food can still be bad for you and sabotage your weight loss efforts. Check daily to make sure that you are eating the right amounts of the right foods. A lot of people are used to eating much larger portions than they should--for example, did you know that one serving of meat is actually only the size of a deck of cards?
Exercising to Get Rid of a Muffin Top
If dieting alone is not enough to lose the extra fat, then it’s time to hit the gym.
The first reaction a lot of people have is to get down on the floor and start doing as many crunches as they can. However, this isn’t the best way to go about things. Running till you’re ready to pass out isn’t the best way to lose weight either.
Weight training is far better than any other exercise to lose that fat. Do exercises that increase muscle strength like squats and lifting weights. Some women have concerns about doing too much weight lifting. But this really isn’t something that you need to worry about. Most women don’t have the natural testosterone levels in their body to be able to do that. Instead you’ll be proud of your lean, toned body and you’ll look for every opportunity to show it off.
Building up strength will build your muscles and burn fat as you target certain muscle groups. You’ll find that your muffin top starts to shrink from these kinds of workouts because as your muscles rebuild themselves they consume more calories and burn fat.
Relaxing to Get Rid of a Muffin Top
If you are feeling stressed then your body has a tendency to store more fat. Life in general can be stressful so it’s the best thing to unwind sometimes and de-stress.
A lot of people swear by yoga and meditation as perfect ways to relieve stress. However, if you don’t see yourself doing yoga, meditating, or any other “hippy” activities like that, then you can unwind by simply playing some soothing music and lighting some candles before you go to sleep.
