Calorie intake and exercise?
This may be a stupid question, but I have never really understood the relation. I'm most curious about the benefit of exercise and how it is affected by the amount of calories I absorb from food. For example yesterday I exercised on a recumbent bike for an hour and a half. According to the monitor of the bike I burnt roughly 760 calories. After this I was extremely hungry though, and so I went digging through my fridge. I ate two burritos totaling at 480 calories and I ate five taquitos which are 360 calories. Throw in the can of mountain dew I had and my late night snack turns into a 1010 calorie monster. My question is because I ate 1010 calories and only burned 760, would the hour and a half of exercise I just performed be useless and I wouldn't benefit from any fat loss?
Im not exactly sure but I would say yes. I know you were hungry after working out-majority of all people are but you gotta try and restrain yourself from eating so much right after a vigorous work out not only does it seem useless but you end up feeling like a failure as well.
SUGGESTIONS
-If you have the urge to eat something try something a little bit more healthier
-eat during the day and then work out at a certain time, perhaps 6 or 7pm? and try not to eat any more after that specific time, that way whatever calories you burn from working out they wont be able to get interfered with
