Really hurt myself in spin class...advice?

Yesterday I went to a spinning class for the first time, I only lasted about a half hour lol. Well when I got home all that was hurting me was my butt because of the saddle. Today when I woke up my thighs felt so sore like they had a bruise on the front of them, but there is no visible marks. It hurts when I sit, get up, and walk. I don't feel any pain when am sitting in my recliner with my feet propped up.

Am just curious if anyone had a similar injury or knows what this is? Like did I pull muscles or something? Any advice on the bike to not let this happen again? I wanna get back in the saddle. I am a newbie at exercising and staying fit in general. The bike is the one thing I enjoy that I have tried so far.

Thanks for any replies.

If you haven't exercised in awhile, that is probably why you are sore. You are working muscles you haven't worked in awhile. You just need to take it easy and don't try to push to hard. You want to ease into it. You should probably stretch before you get back on the cycle and that may help. Ask one of the trainers for advice at the gym. I am going to try this for the first time also and this is what I plan to do.
