I cant lose weight, but I need to. Help.?
I am overweight, and I have been trying to lose weight for awhile now. I have had my ups in downs but for the past month I have been exercising more, eating better, and drinking plenty of water. I can always help other people lose weight, and I know a significant amount about weight loss, but I cant help myself. I really need someone to just lay it out for me. I dont need to hear "do more cardio" or "eat more fruits and vegetables". I know those things, and I do those things. I would appreciate it if someone would please take the time to leave a very detailed answer on what I should do. I have a lot of at home equipment including: workout DVDs, hand weights, resistance bands, exercise balls, a stationary bike, a trampoline, and soon I will have access to a public pool. Any help is appreciated, but the most sincere and helpful answer will win my best answer. Thank you!

17 months ago I decided to change my lifestyle. I made sure that I ate a sensible healthy diet and embarked on some regular exercise. The results were absolutely amazing. I managed to lose 48lbs in just over 6 months.
I have for many years struggled with my weight. Yes, whilst many diets did work, as soon as I stopped them all the weight would pile back on, plus more.
I kept junk foods, ready made processed meals you buy in the supermarket, alcohol and takeaway meals to an absolute minimum. These are high in refined sugar and full of saturated fat. Junk food is just what it says - JUNK. With one added ingredient in - FAT. It really is these foods that add on those extra pounds.
I do have a few biscuits, a couple of glasses of wine, chocolate. But these now in MODERATION. MODERATION is the KEY.
I included more wholefoods into my diet. Such as brown bread, brown rice, brown pasta, beans & pulses. These are high in fibre and will keep you feeling fuller for longer.
I eat lean meats (no fat on), poultry (no skin on), fish with scales on (no breadcrumbs or batter), eggs, plentry of fresh fruit and vegetables (including potatoes, making sure you keep the carbs plain and simple), low fat dairy products, skimmed milk, non sugary cereals.
But most importantly of all. EXERCISE. I bought a stationary bike and used it on a regular basis, 3/4 times a week. Also took up swimming at least 3 times a week. Walked whenever I could, instead of jumping in the car, or getting a bus. After 3months of exercising like this. I took up jogging. I now run on a regular basis outside. I have also ran in various charity event runs too. I know that the exercise really helped acelerate my weight loss. Now I know it also helps to maintain my weight. Just try to move as much as you can. The more you move the more calories you will burn.
Just by changing the way you eat and doing regular exercise will have amazing results. You will not only lose weight and then the exercise will help you to maintain it. But also you will feel so much more healthier, happy and confident.
Set yourself a goal and stick to it. Be patient, as unfortunately, there is no magic formula when it comes to weight loss. Some people do lose weight quicker than others. But once the weight starts to come off and your clothes start to feel loose. You will find that this will give you a real push to keep going. Just make sure you don't give up.
