Post-Pregnancy Workouts that Help With Weight Loss
When your pregnancy was first discovered, your doctor probably told you that you would need to gain weight. Weight gain happens naturally during pregnancy. When you are eating for two, it's hard not to pack on the pounds. But now that your baby is born, you don't want to live with the weight any longer. Drawing In: This exercise is great for women who have just given birth because, in addition to helping you lose weight, it will make your back, abs and core stronger which will help you regain your posture as well as increasing your metabolism. In this exercise you will start out on all fours with your hands right under your shoulders. Pull your abs in and make sure that your neck and spine stay in a single line. Breathe in through your nostrils while you keep your back straight and then, while pulling your navel up into your spine (while keeping the spine still) breathe back out. Do this twelve times to complete one set and do three sets in a single workout to really work your abs and core.
The Super Crunch: This is an abdominal exercise that should be included in every post-natal routine. To begin this exercise, lie down with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Your hands should rest behind your head and, while taking deep breaths in and out, hold your abs in and left your head and your shoulders off of the floor. Hold that position while you also lift your knees until they are touching your elbows while you also lift your hips up slightly off of the ground. Slowly put your body back into its beginning position. Do three sets of twelve to twenty to get your abs into the best shape you've ever seen while losing weight really quickly.
Walking: In 2007 Harvard did a study that proved walking for just a half an hour every day can lower the chances of a woman keeping her pregnancy weight. Women in this study lost an average of eleven pounds and most of them had lost all of the weight they wanted to lose by their kids's first birthdays. Therefore, you need to go outside and get some fresh air! While the time of day that you walk is not important, it is important to choose baby friendly weather if you want to take the baby outside with you. Also, don't forget to stay properly hydrated on your walk. Do this every single day and you will drop your weight really quickly.
