Can someone help me with this homework (science)...?
Okay, so I wrote something about how chemical energy turns into electric energy.
If you get a bicycle that humans can ride, you can attach a generator to the bike, and the when you pedal, then you get electricity. This would be mechanical energy turned to electrical energy, or if you consider it chemical energy (the food you eat) to mechanical to electrical. This is good because then the researchers will be healthy from exercising and you don't need to mine for propane and it will reduce pollution. Researchers may get tired or the electricity may not be enough to run the station. A similar situation it so make a dam on a nearby stream and attach a generator.
What are 3 ideas you would of considered for this plan?
1. logic
which researcher is gonna do it???
imagine, a researcher leaving his work to go and cycle like a hamster
2. scale
how will you ensure that everyone is pedalling at the same rate??? coz if the rate varies, ur gonna have fluctuating voltage, and thats gonna blow the crap out of every gadget in ppl's home.
3.limit
how long can a researcher cycle?
how long can he go without rest?
how will u find enough researchers?
we dont *mine* for propane, we distill it from crude oil, or make it from other hydrocarbons
how many dams are u gonna make?
do u realise the impact of making a dam on the nearby life?
and im not even going to speak of the funding.
