DYNAMIX Exercise Bike the pulse moniter wont work?
I had the bike this morning set it all up and thought gr8 but every thing works but when i tryed the pulse moneter only a ( p ) comes up on the moneter but yet speed,distence,etc all work iv tryed changing the batteres and the wires over but that dont make any dif at all any help with this would be gr8 as its for some 1 for xmas and dont want to give it to them not working and the place i had it from do not have a nother till after xmas

thay are pads on the handlebars and i tryed it for halk a hour and still only a (P) came up on the moniter. does any one now the number for dynamix help line i was given 01159734488 but thay havent worked with them in 5 years
How does it sense pulse? Usually, there are two methods: 1) chest strap and 2) metal contact pads on the handlebars. The contact pads are pretty foolproof; just grab them for 15 seconds. Chest straps not only have to be positioned properly and have good batteries, they rely on good electrical contact. I usually lick the pads on mine to get them wet. That's not something you want to do if it's going to be a gift! Instead, wet them with a rag. then wash it afterwards. They need to be placed up tight under your pecs (guys) or boobs (girls.)
